CIRCE participated in the Transport Research Arena (TRA) Conference 2026, held from 18 to 21 May 2026 at the HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Centre. TRA is Europe’s flagship conference on transport research and innovation, bringing together industry representatives, research organisations, policymakers, and other stakeholders to discuss developments across transport and mobility. TRA 2026 featured plenary and technical sessions, an exhibition area, and live demonstrations focused on future transport systems and mobility solutions.

CIRCE contributed to the conference through three activities. Alejandro Díaz Baños, Group Director of Electronic Technologies at CIRCE, represented the project during the event.

During the conference, CIRCE delivered a presentation of the ODYSSEV project, introducing it to the 2Zero partners and highlighting its objectives, technological developments, and contributions towards more efficient and sustainable electric mobility solutions.
Alejandro also participated in the EGVIAfor2ZERO roundtable “Made-in-Europe efficient, affordable and attractive Electric Vehicles: innovation priorities towards technology sovereignty and competitiveness of the EU automotive industry”, held on the 18th of May 2026. The discussion focused on the priorities needed to strengthen the European automotive sector and support the transition towards zero-emission mobility.

In addition, Alejandro presented recent results related to On-Board Charger (OBC) developments. The presentation showcased research activities aimed at reducing both the cost and weight of current charging technologies.
Through its participation in TRA 2026, CIRCE highlighted the work of the ODYSSEV consortium and its ongoing efforts to support European research and innovation in sustainable transport and electric mobility.
