On 23 June 2026, the ODYSSEV consortium gathered in Dortmund, Germany, for its second Project Meeting, hosted by FH Dortmund (FHDO). The meeting was held in a hybrid format, with consortium partners participating both on-site and online.

The meeting was organised to review progress across the project’s technical work packages, align activities among partners and define the next steps in system development and integration.

In addition to the hybrid sessions, the in-person agenda included visits to several laboratories at Dortmund University, showcasing research infrastructure relevant to electric mobility and power electronics.

Partners presented updates on the first version of the ODYSSEV electric powertrain architecture, which integrates the battery, electric motor and inverter in a lightweight design targeting an electrical system above 800 V, with 100 kW peak power and enabling adherence with fast charging up to 350 kW. Additional progress was reported on thermal management, battery architecture, the on-board charger and the project’s cloud-based platform connecting partner test facilities.

The consortium also briefly reviewed communication and dissemination activities, including the project’s website, promotional materials and ongoing visibility through conferences and collaborations such as the 2Zero Partnership and the E-VOLVE cluster. The plan was set for the first ODYSSEV events, including a citizen awareness workshop that will be scheduled for October 2026.

The meeting confirmed steady technical progress and concluded with agreed priorities for the next development phase, focusing on further integration and validation activities.
