We are pleased to announce a new synergy with Roads4All (Co-creating safer Living Roads for all through a holistic, multi-level, participatory approach to cultural transformation), a Horizon Europe project that aims to foster a new traffic safety culture across Europe.
Bringing together 14 partners from eight countries, the project seeks to make mobility safer, more inclusive, and more sustainable by addressing not only infrastructure and regulation, but also the behaviours, relationships, and cultural norms that shape road safety. The project combines scientific research, community engagement, education, participatory methods, and innovative technologies to develop practical tools and approaches for safer mobility. These will be tested in five “Living Roads” in Tallinn, Rome, Zagreb, Novi Sad, and the Region of Central Macedonia, where communities, public authorities, businesses, schools, researchers, and citizens will co-create and assess solutions in diverse real-world settings. Through cross-European collaboration and knowledge exchange, Roads4All aims to make safer mobility an everyday practice and a shared societal value.
While Roads4All works to foster a safer and more inclusive road safety culture through behavioural change, community engagement and collaboration with citizens, businesses and public authorities, ODYSSEV focuses on technological innovation to improve electric vehicle performance and energy efficiency.
These complementary perspectives highlight the importance of addressing both technological development and the human and societal dimensions of mobility. Together, such approaches can help support the transition towards road transport that is more sustainable, efficient and responsive to people’s needs.
Roads4All and ODYSSEV look forward to exploring joint communication and visibility activities, sharing their perspectives and highlighting European research and innovation in the mobility sector.
We look forward to developing this synergy and contributing to the future of sustainable road transport in Europe.
